Türk Üniversitelerindeki Akademisyenlerin Avrupa Birliği'ne Bakışı
About the Book
The book Academics’ Perspectives on the European Union at Turkish Universities examines the perceptions of Turkish university academics regarding the European Union through a survey. Although the research idea emerged in 2014, it was only carried out in 2020 due to the pandemic, with limited participation. The findings suggest that tensions and political obstacles in Turkey–EU relations have influenced the perceptions of the academics surveyed. The authors emphasise their belief that Turkey’s EU membership would bring peace and stability to the country and Europe. They also argue that political obstacles can be overcome with the support of influential countries such as Germany and that fostering positive public perceptions is of great importance.
