In 2016, Marmara University established the 'Center for Applied Research on Women's Studies in the Economic and Social Sectors (ESKAR)' to conduct scientific research into gender equality, women's employment and participation in decision-making processes. This book was compiled by the Centre subjecting the papers presented at the 'Women from a Gender Equality Perspective' symposium, held during the establishment process, to a peer review. This publication aims to strengthen the role of universities in social transformation and promote awareness of gender equality.
