Marmara University is committed to making its Ottoman Turkish course accessible to all students, including those with visual impairments, to ensure equal educational opportunities. To this end, specialised course materials have been developed, including text compatible with screen readers, Braille transcriptions, grammar explanations and sample texts. The 'Ottoman Turkish for the Visually Impaired' textbook is based on national and international disability rights legislation, and will be made available free of charge to those who need it. The project has received support from numerous academics, researchers and publishers, and permissions for the use of sources have been obtained.
