The Proceedings of the Symposium on the Executive Branch under the Presidential System comprise papers from a symposium that addressed the legal dimensions of the executive branch under the system adopted through the 2017 constitutional amendments and enacted in 2018. At the conference organised by the Faculty of Law at Marmara University on 30 November 2018, the structural changes brought about by the new system were discussed from the perspectives of constitutional and administrative law. Topics covered in the papers include the separation of powers, checks and balances, presidential decrees, organisational structure, relations between the president and ministers, and the impact on the public personnel system. This work serves as an important academic resource examining the practical outcomes of the system from a legal perspective.
